@thetnholler.bsky.social However, as much as Netanyahu would like to be King of the Jews, he isn't. While every Jew in the world has the right to become an Israeli, many don't want to. And it's even worse, since more and more Israeli Jews have been emigrating from Israel to all kinds of places all over the world because they don't want to live in Israel anymore while that gangster Netanyahu and his regime of criminals, fascists, and ultra-religious nutters, turn life for any secular, peaceful, left-leaning, modern Jew, into a complete nightmare. There are still people trying to resist Netanyahu's government, Jews united with Pakestinians against the madness, but with more and more right-wing Jewish settlers from all over the world moving into West Bank settlements and of course supporting Netanyahu, things aren't looking good at all. Leftists and peaceniks leaving the country, while holy warriors who want a Jewish kingdom that owns everything it once owned thousands of years ago are moving in. And as a reaction, a radical and warlike brand of Islamofascism is on the rise, trying to recruit and radicalise young Muslims who see the images from Gaza.

The entire idea of crushing Hamas with the IDF is complete bullshit anyway. You can't crush an ideology like that. Also, who the fuck even believed that it was about rescuing hostages in the first place? Just look at what kind of people those Hamas bastards killed and abducted, they're exactly the kind of Jews nobody in Netanyahu's government likes, the kind of Jews that have been leaving Israel for more progressive places for years. Of course Netanyahu doesn't want them back, but Hamas gave the IDF the perfect excuse to crush Gaza until there isn't anything left.

The Israeli Far Right didn't want a functioning Palestinian state, so they allowed Hamas to take over Gaza in order to weaken Fatah. In doing so, they also installed a perfect enemy, a bunch of fanatic murderers who want to kill all the Jews, yet who aren't any kind of serious threat to the country as a whole. They are terrorists who can strike anywhere at any time, perfect for propaganda purposes; they have underground facilities where they build their own rockets, often hidden underneath hospitals, schools, residential buildings, so the IDF can just bomb any building and claim that Hamas had a hidden bunker underneath, and quite often, they weren't even wrong because Hamas consists of exactly the people who do that.

I'm not on the side of Palestine, and neither am I on the side of Israel. The entire idea of nations and nation-states and their borders is just an abomination, something that has driven humans to kill one another for far too long now. Fuck nations, fuck borders, fuck that stupid desert god and his several different branches of followers who keep killing one another over the centuries because they feel the need to control Jerusalem.

Zionism is the product of millennia of antisemitism; it is basically a Jewish version of nationalism which came into existence because of the antisemitic components of all kinds of European nationalisms. The threat of industrial scale mass murder of Jews had existed since a few Deutschnationale in late 19th century Germany worked out the logistics of murdering millions. After the Shoah, Israel was just something that couldn't be stopped from coming into existence anymore. It didn't have to end this way though. If the Arab countries had accepted the inevitable early on and supported a two-state solution, Israel would never have occupied the West Bank. Since they tried to crush Israel instead (and failed), Israel was turned into a country that doesn't know how peace works anymore, and the occupation of the West Bank led to a steady trickle of radical settlers who want to take the whole land that used ruled by Jewish kings aeons ago. The fascists on both sides push the other side to become just as fascist as themselves, it is an eternal war between two nationalisms that claim the same land for their respective nations.

We really need to protect all the Jews who live around us from getting slaughtered by fanatics who use the crimes of the Netanyahu government and the IDF units he sends against the Palestinians to justify they antisemitism. We also need to protect all the Muslims who live around us from those who use the Hamas murders to paint all Muslims as terrorists. We need to stop the fanatics, no matter which ones, from carrying the war from the Jordan region, whatever they may call it, to the rest of the world. Your neighbours the Rosenfelds are not the ones who murder all those people. And they can't stop it, either.
