Kristi Noem: "What is different about Texas is that FEMA operated how President Trump wanted it to operate."

@GottaLaff less efficiently and with even more red tape, gotta sign off on every bill over 100k coming out of Daddy's pockets, I mean the taxpayers'

@GottaLaff

Proof that she is as ‘out of her league’ as Trump is!

@Atticus1956 Such an understatement. It's worse. It's intentional.
@GottaLaff Remove head from ass, insert foot firmly in mouth.

@isotope239

I think maybe Noem has figured out how to put her foot in her mouth while her head is still up her ass.

@GottaLaff

@GottaLaff
It is little different from how things worked when she was governor during flooding at McCook Lake, SD, a year ago.

@GottaLaff

Astonishing (and fascistic) how she speaks words at the same time as she empties out their content.

@GottaLaff

Yup. It's all about cruelty and making sure that people completely lose all trust in the government. That way private industry can take over everything, and they can let those the regime deems unworthy die. Pretty dark, and there are still a lot more people who don't want this than do. We can still stop this madness if we keep collectively pushing back and calling them out for what they are doing. It's exhausting, but necessary.

@goodreedAJ Weaken citizens in order to more easily control them, yes.

And YES to the rest!!!

@GottaLaff

I beg to disagree. It's an excuse, pushing the buck up to the Oval Office.(Although it no longer stops there)

Surely she is not responsible for the debacle, the boss made her do it.

@GottaLaff
🤔 ... Late out of the gate?

@GottaLaff

Cuts to essential workers, and the weekend off for golfing, because natural disasters don't work on the weekend, either?

@GottaLaff

Texas is an oligarchy, not a democracy.

That model of public corruption became federal with Trump.

@GottaLaff @Npars01 I mean, it’s the truth, isn’t it? Didn’t Trump say he wanted to dismantle FEMA and leave it up to each state to handle their own disasters?

@ramsey @GottaLaff

Trump's billionaires believe in private profits & public losses.

They think the same ideology should apply to public services.

Private state profits - states with no taxes, so billionaires get & stay rich fast

Public losses - the federal government pays for the natural disasters caused by the Texas fossil fuel industry.

@Npars01 @GottaLaff I live in a state without (income) tax, and I gladly pay higher property tax for city/county services. Our state roads (and other state services) are shit, though.
