Tyrannosaurus rex lived closer to the release of the Apple QuickTake 200 digital camera than it did to Stegosaurus.
@NanoRaptor geographically.
@mingistech @NanoRaptor mainly chronologically
@elexia @NanoRaptor but more so geographically. :)
@elexia @mingistech @NanoRaptor Fossils of both species have been found in the Northwestern US, so mostly chronologically.

@mingistech @NanoRaptor

though they lived about 85-90 million years apart, Tyrannosaurus and Stegosaurus were both widespread in western North America, and geographically overlapped in Utah and Colorado at a minimum. Potentially, the area of overlap might have extended as far north as the border with Canada, and as far south as Arizona and New Mexico.

@NanoRaptor very important historical events
@NanoRaptor And we still don't have any of its holiday snaps.
@NanoRaptor T Rex had no need to fear the thagomizer.
@NanoRaptor what the fuck I thought this was a shitpost but it's actually true!?!?
@hazelnot @NanoRaptor The reign of Queen Cleopatra was closer to the iPhone release than it was to the building of the Great Pyramids. :)
@NanoRaptor @cstross Sure, but with their short arms, a T-Rex would have had such a hard time with the QuickTake 200.
@NanoRaptor Enthusiastically looking at maps of the locations where fossils were found to see if this joke works in space as well as time.
@NanoRaptor Ah, Tyrannosaurus, the well-known bird. (approximately)
@NanoRaptor if only it could have held on just a little bit longer...
@NanoRaptor It would've had operational problems with the Quicktake 200, due to the position of its little arms in relation to it's head
@NanoRaptor
As a non-fan of things Apple, NanoRaptor, I rarely comment, boost, or favorite stuff about the grossly over-priced brand.
But this toot of yours deserves special treatment.
Pleez enjoy the comment, the favorite, and the boost.
YOU'VE more than earned them.

@NanoRaptor oof I feel that in my rapidly ossifying body
@NanoRaptor Similarly, Queen Cleopatra lived closer to the building of the Burj Khalifa than the Great Pyramid.
