Kobo is not as user friendly for a writer, and some of the steps are a bit obscure. This is the irony of the moment - KDP is better for writers across many dimensions, is by far the market leader, and the integration with GoodReads works well. But Bezos has in my view been heading down the Nazi path and just makes it toxic.
So, but for Bezos and Amazon becoming toxic, I would have happily stayed there
@screwturn Absolutely it's a tough spot many authors face. KDP offers unmatched reach and tools, but Amazon’s ethics can be a dealbreaker. Your move away from it shows real integrity, even if platforms like Kobo aren’t as smooth.
