I like this approach and I hope MD actually gets to use this money to pay for the programs the Republicans are illegally refusing to fund. This would matter even more if Republicans actually cared about blowing the budget. They used to call Democrats the "tax & spend" party, as if what they always end up doing is better. The Republicans are the "Borrow & Spend" party. They are cutting social programs to give tax breaks to their owners, but even if they didn't make those spending cuts, they'd still give their owners the tax breaks.

Absolutely. And if enough states do it, it might cost the feds enough to care.

That said, future generations will have the most insane debt to repay. The US national debt. Climate change. No healthcare. Nazis.

It's no wonder people aren't reproducing as much now.

In recent history of Europe, the inability of northern European countries to help their fellow southern European countries lead to where Europe is right now. Unable and too weak to stand up. Europe's destiny is not in its own hands anymore.

#DJT is not permanent. #donald_trump will be gone in another 3.5 years. Whatever wrecking is done by #donald can be fixed.
