E-bikes are a more important development than AI and solve more problems, but they don’t get nearly as much press and investment. This is because Microsoft doesn’t think adding e-bikes to Windows 11 will shield their stock price from market volatility.

@isaaclyman much prefer this view, as opposed to fanatics insisting ebikes are for entitled rich assholes who ignore traffic laws.

I am in my 60s, not rich, and recovering from a stroke, and while I own a conventional bike, using it or even restoring it now is beyond me.

And adjusted for inflation the ebike cost $10 LESS.

@the_turtle I see a lot of 60+ folks out on their e-bikes when I ride, and the looks on their faces never fail to make me happy. This is what technology can do. This is why circuit boards matter. Every person who comes into cycling by way of a battery and an electric motor is a success story.
