Fireworks might be beautiful for a moment, but they leave behind a trail of harm.

They pollute the air with toxic chemicals and fine dust, spiking asthma and breathing problems. After events like July 4th or Diwali, air quality drops dangerously — and people with lung issues feel it immediately.

The noise isn’t just loud — it’s traumatizing. Pets panic, birds die, and people with PTSD or autism often suffer in silence.

Tradition isn’t a good excuse when it causes this much damage. Not all traditions are worth keeping — especially when they hurt the most vulnerable.

the most venuarable get hurt by almost everything, not all of them are gonna live
I’ll try my best to not be venuarable, then.
Are you implying that people and animals should rather die?
if the cat dies shooting at the people bothering it then so be it, if the people die because of the cat they deserved it
Hope you keep that mindset if you ever become venuarable
there are conditions worse than death, like severe radiation burns
Who cares he’s right. I haven’t met a single person who likes fireworks who isn’t dumb. I have pets and i started to hate loud noises. I personally consider fireworks one of the worst things. And if you have someone who likes this trap them in a room without foo til they change their mind…
It is. Yes. Doesn’t change the message.
But why are you using AI to write forum posts?
AI detectors don’t work, and often just end up flagging autistic people as AI.
At this point. I just block anyone I see using the em dash. Will a few false positives slip in? Sure, but I’m confident that I’m blocking more bots than nots.
It’s so sad such illiteracy means people like you associate the dash with AI
Gimme a cool drone show over fireworks any day
I went to Universal around last Christmas and they had an awesome drone show. I had never seen anything like it and didn’t even know it was a thing. 100% better than a fireworks display.
Traditions are peer pressure from dead people
