There are so many great stories and photos of people regaining mobility, reconnecting with their spouse/friends/family, and just having fun.
an actual bus@LilahTovMoon One time when I was working in a used bike shop someone popped by and dropped a trike sized for like a ten year old kid who's too big for a bigwheel but too small for the adapted stuff you can usually find used.
Well, almost immediately this mom pops by with her disabled son and the owner just hands it to her. Kid was absolutely psyched about the trike and mom almost welled up in tears.
I keep that event in my mind as a reminder that kindness really does makes the world go round.
Benjamin@renardboy I can relate. When my son, who is disabled, got a first test-ride on a tricycle, I broke into tears right then and there.
