Linux Mint has been my daily driver for ages, but I think I might take Ubuntu for another spin. Any thoughts out there from folks who use Ubuntu regularly? How's your experience been with it?
After trying out the live USB, I'm gonna' pass on Ubuntu for now. Linux Mint 22.2 is right around the corner anyway, so I may as well prepare to upgrade.
@sutter Ubuntu ships a lot of software as Snaps by default, which I'm pretty sure Mint still disables. It works fine, I guess, but it is worth considering if you either don't like containerized software distribution in general or take umbrage with Canonical's centralized control of Snap.
@chamomile @sutter if mint really disables snaps and you are proficient with Linux, I would actually recommend Debian Testing for workstations - should be way closer, runs great very most of the time for me since many years (I think I started with wheezy)
@sutter stick with mint
