Here's a more complex animation in picoCAD 2. Making meshes return to their original position to get seamless gifs is a bit tedious and I probably need to come up with a solution for that.
#lowpoly #3d #gamedev
@johanpeitz As someone who has dabbled in a few pico-8 projects, this application (and others you've done) is mind-blowing to me. When developing, do you use the built-in editor or an external one? Any other plugins or helpers?
@nebyoolae This one isn't done in pico8 anymore, I'm using my own lofi framework. That said, all my pico8 projects are made in vanilla pico8 during development. Then I use shrink8 to make 'em fit :)
@johanpeitz Custom lofi framework? Did you "fork" pico8 or something? Planning on releasing yours at any time?
@nebyoolae It started out as a way to port pico8 games to love2D but has grown into a different beast since. Very far from public eyes I’m afraid
@johanpeitz add a hidden animation strip reversing all changes?
@fsouchu ill prolly add a pingpong flag to curves that you can set to make the movement return to initial values
