Apparently the hype about Microsoft deleting all your passwords from the authenticator app is a bit overblown: yes they will delete the passwords from that app, but they will store them in the user's Microsoft account and make them available in the Edge web browser. That doesn't make it right though, but at least it does not mean that you have to switch all your accounts to passkeys or move the credentials somewhere else manually in the short time that's left.

Microsoft Authenticator is dropping password autofill in July - 9to5Mac

Microsoft Authenticator is phasing out support for password autofill, and all saved passwords will be deleted by August. Here’s what to do.

It's a good idea to move away from the #Microsoft #Authenticator app anyway. And choose some open source tool instead. I'm using #KeePassXC on Windows and the #KeePass Android app, and sync the database using #SyncThing. That may not be the best solutions for everybody else though.
