Playing a lot of AK-xolotl tonight, as I have been lately. It's become one of my most played Switch games. Killer twin stick shooter. 'Just one more run' type. Gotta get videos from my Switch here. It basically looks like this.

@jake4480 definitely going to check this one out
@rtfm oh nice - it's such a blast. I have 25+ hours in it so far and counting 😂
@jake4480 I suck at those games but have fun anyway so I’m sure I’ll enjoy when I get to it.
@rtfm haha I suck at MOST games but I try to do a little better, bit by bit 😂 this one doesn't have difficulty settings like I usually dig but you can kinda build things up, which is nice. Some buffs are super amazing - the star one allows you to destroy enemy bullets, I got really far with that, allowed me to go way further without getting hurt as much. Which was wild.
@jake4480 I’ve played Enter The Gungeon but can’t get past the third basement. I’ve played Dead Cells but can’t beat Two Cells. Even with good load outs I still find ways to die super quickly. I think I try to rush instead of taking a more measured approach.
@rtfm ha! Gungeon I haven't tried. Tried Nuclear Throne? Also tough and I haven't made it to the throne. AK-xolotl is a little like that but I find I can make it a little further in it. Dead Cells is tough! My kid even tried that one and couldn't get far - such a metroidvania, all that backtracking 😂
@jake4480 no even heard of Nuclear Throne! I feel Dead Cells is a forgiving backtracker though, it gives you loads of warp points. I think I need a primer on how DPS actually works, and to understand why stacking the same weapon/perk types doesn’t make me better.
