I wanted to go to bed early tonight but we ended up having a late-ish dinner and then we spent 2 hours chatting (me, my husband and our two kids). Afterwards I continued chatting with my oldest in his room and he said "I'm kinda sad to be leaving in August as I'll miss chatting with you guys like this." It made me both sad and happy to know that he will miss us.

I've noticed that my younger grandkid manages to leave something in my car nearly every time I drive him. One would think that he wants to see more of me. I certainly want to see more of him!!
