@jamie_blumberg @rmondello the most interesting thing about nostalgia is even when it’s well-intentioned (vs, well, *that*) it gets important details wrong, or relies on only one or a few interpretations of whatever the nostalgic thing is

Belief of a ranking within humanity
That the ranking is a zero-sum game
That the law protects Some and binds Others, and the converse.

Most else flows down from there.
