Good morning. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

28 June 2025

Ever wake from a dream so disoriented it feels like you’ve been dropped from one world into another? It takes a moment to get your bearings—to remember which reality you’re supposed to belong to.

This morning, I was deep in the middle of trying to fix an electric combination dial on a safe. Then—poof—I was back in my bed, staring at the ceiling and wondering where the safe had gone. Just one of those peculiar dreams. I rolled over, ready to drift back into sleep, when my wife nudged me. “Charlie’s whispering under the door again,” she said. He does that—muttering in that strange, gravelly language only he understands. Still, I’m convinced I’ve heard him say “go out” more than once.

Hmmm 🤔 Was I dreaming then… or am I dreaming now?

“The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy.” — James Arthur Baldwin

@Swede1952 Whenever things feel strange, ask yourself "am I dreaming?" Check for a continuous chain of memory back to waking up in the morning.

Eventually you will get a yes, I'm dreaming. This is how people learn to deliberately lucid dream.

If you are not enjoying an experience, try very hard to open your eyes. If dreaming, you will wake up.

Dreams are like unfinished beta video games. If you go outside the supported list of actions, the dream will crash.
