Say it, Elizabeth!

@AJ_andrew69

The whole idea is to just cull the humans so there is more left for them. I am sick of it.

@pascaline @AJ_andrew69 I never ever imagined in a period of 70 years our species appears to be heading over a cliff. At this point we are at a legitimate point where we need to reduce our numbers, it’s going to be ugly, because we don’t have coherence in unity and common vision to approach it intelligently, as in just have less kids. It’s gonna be dog eat dog. If there ever is coherence and common vision, the last person I want to enable such decisions is a glutton.

@Huntn00

I saw an exposition in a museum as a teen. It tracked the number of babies being born, and beeped for each. This really had an impact on me, I remember it so well.

Someone said there had been talks about 'The People Bomb' and since this was before my time, I hadn't heard of it.

At some point things will collapse.
Humans just aren't sustainable.

@AJ_andrew69

@pascaline @AJ_andrew69 Agreed, not as we are. If a world plague reduced numbers by 70%, or even Thanos got his snap of the fingers (Marvel Ref), we might stand a chance.
We function as bacteria, expanding, poisoning ourselves until we collapse from our own weight having devoured our surroundings. Our intelligence is not at a high enough level, or not the right kind of intelligence for billions, we are too selfish to allow for, or reduce these numbers in a humain way.

@AJ_andrew69 @Huntn00 @pascaline

You get your logic from Marvel movies and pop culture. We are not bacteria. We are human beings. The people murdering us want us to believe there are too many people. There are too many police. The United States is a police state where police have more funding than they've ever had in the history of humanity. Too many people… Too little education, huntr

@FranceskaMann @AJ_andrew69 @pascaline I often like pop culture, but in this case, I only mentioned it (Thanos) as a brute force means to reduce population to give us breathing space, a better chance at overall survival, not that I would actually propose that. I just don’t see a means where we will voluntarily, peacefully, intelligently reduce our numbers. 1/2
@FranceskaMann @AJ_andrew69 @pascaline 2/2 But I will disagree with you. Our growth rate is just like bacteria. Our numbers explode and we continue to consume the environment around us until it eventually collapses along with us. We are not in control or this crisis or it could’ve been solved 50 years ago. But we were unable to prioritize the crisis, those with the wealth and those who wanted to be like the wealthy.
