I think the #MinimalPhone and other "#minimalist #tech" suffer from being too expensive whilst also being kinda hamstrung and neither #repairable nor #configureable.

  • I get why they designed it, but when it's getting into the €500+ ballpark, it feels bad.

I don't expect them to do some custom PTT but at least some "hold to unmute" or "tap to mute / unmute" could be implemented on #CTIA standard connections!

Or at least some basic "USB Data Modem" function - which even my first #3G phone could do.

  • Espechally when all modern devices have a #4G modem anyway inside there's no reason to have less connectivity than an #Iridium handset!
