- Causing war in a place infamous for making most of the oil will make a scarcity problem cause the price of oil to go up;
- The things the DoE does;
And then something one can look up on Wikipedia:
- Why the Department of Energy was created.

@ShiitakeToast @petergleick It's just more "Trump: 'Nobody knew healthcare was complicated.' Everyone else: '*Everyone* knew healthcare was complicated - it is the one of the few things we all knew!'", just with higher stakes now that the guardrails telling him "It's complicated" are being ignored.
