Won't happen but appreciate the thought. Thanks.
Condemn AIPAC now
NATO countries should condemn US and none should send troops to support US against Iran...
@popcornreel It is not. However we might disagree with that decision, it is not an illegal act for him to do that.
And I'll tell you what: AOC knows full well that it is not.
JFC one time I wish a politician would just tell the truth.
Like. One time.
C'est pas elle, qui comme Bernie Sanders, disait qu'Israel avait le droit de se défendre ?
Trump n'est que le résultat de décennies de politiques américaines, y compris démocrates.
I like AOC a lot, but if a POTUS were impeached for a foreign bombing run, then every one in the past 60 years would be impeached. Well, maybe not Carter, but all the rest.
The US Congress has long since abdicated war powers to the President and doesn't even blink about bombings.
Absolutely. I've long thought the US should have a department dedicated to investigating and indicting past administrations (up to the prior 20-30 years).
What better way to keep their hands clean than knowing that, someday, they won't be in power and will be held accountable.
@popcornreel "... that may ensnare us for generations" ... I disagree. It "may" not, it "will". The entire situation Iran currently finds itself in is the direct result of a U.S. intervention in 1953 when the CIA toppled the democratically elected government under prime minister Mohammad Mossadegh and replaced it with a totalitarian monarchy under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. This led to the revolution in 1979 and the Ayatollah regime.
The U.S. has been in a "cold war" with Iran ever since.
@popcornreel @echanda Alt text: social media post by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC):
The President's disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.
He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations.
It is absolutely and clearly grounds for
impeachment.

True, but will it happen, that is the question…
