I believe this has led to a lot of really bad takes on LLMs/AI, because everyone just wants that sweet dopamine kick from retoots.

@maltimore I posted recently asking where the down vote is. I don't see how "trending" can be good otherwise, a lot of fake info getting to the top despite negative comments. I was honestly thinking of trying to hijack it sometime, just to prove the point.

Generally wondering if the mastodon/Twitter metaphor is what I want. Attracted to lemmy/reddit and bonfire.
