Trump voters with student loans are having 'buyer's remorse' over his latest debt collection moves:

@TonyStark At first that article read like one from the 'onion'. But as I read, it became more sinister. Those people interviewed expected the repayment rules to be applied to others, not to them. Classic MAGA elitism.
@timo21 Not like we didn’t explain it repeatedly.
@TonyStark He's already gone TACO on the ICE raids in Red areas, so the loan MAGA will still be holding out hope for themselves.
@TonyStark
Trump: "I will cancel student loan debt relief."
Trump voters: "Boy, I sure hope he doesn't cancel student loan debt relief."
@erikriffle @TonyStark more like "I support cancelling student debt relief, but don't cancel *my* student debt relief" sounds like
@TonyStark a single mother on disability voted for Trump!? Does she not realize that the GOP villainizes everyone in her situation?
@TonyStark Every day I am reminded that tens of thousands of people voted for a Donald Trump they made up in their heads. Democrats telling them what Trump was going to do didn't penetrate. But neither did Trump telling them what Trump was going to do.
@TonyStark It's astounding. On one hand we had President Biden, who did not cancel all debt for everyone but wiped out large amounts of debt until he was thwarted by courts. VP Harris wanted to continue most Biden admin policies. On the other, Trump and Republicans who clearly said everyone should pay for it all themselves regardless of hardship or bait-and-switch. And yet people voted for Trump or stayed home because Biden didn't do enough so they said Harris wouldn't either.

@MariaHill @TonyStark

And pretty much the reason Biden didn't cancel all student debt was because of GOP opposition. He got done everything he could possibly accomplish.

@MariaHill Collectively, we’ll reap what we have sewn, not that this is a particularly brilliant statement. It seems to be accurate. 😐
@TonyStark it is not that any voter could say "i did not know". They knew, they voted, they pay the price. Literally.
