Sydney Rd Accessible Tram Stops campaign is getting ready for another rally on the 28th June 2025.

The Victorian Government is in breach of the commonwealth Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport, which required all states and territories to make their public transport infrastructure fully accessible by the end of 2022.

They are delaying on this for no reason. They've had 13yrs notice.

We're waiting at Brunswick Rd tram stop for an accessible tram to do leafleting of people on the tram. We've been waiting for 20mins, only 10mins to go.

@vwdasher Yep, they were told 23 yrs ago that they had to do it and now it's 3yrs late.
So many other tram lines have the same problem and it's fucking embarrassing.

@jessta it was bad enough when they clung to old trams that had ridiculously high entries. Unbelievable that this is still going on, stopping people.

@vwdasher Sydney Rd still runs the 1980s B class trams with the steps to get in on for a lot of services.
