@memerman When I worked near the top of Pennsylvania Mtn in the Colorado front range in the early 90s marmots kept us entertained. We named one Fred the Weatherman — he would stand on his back legs looking at the sky. Thunderstorms would roll in nearly every afternoon in the summer. Rule was we only had to climb the mountain once a day, no matter what time we got chased down by the storms. So we usually started the hike up ~6:00 am.
