evacideI don't understand the people who told me I would get more conservative with age. The more powerful I become, the more angry I get at the people who abuse their power and the more aware I become of the ways in which systemic oppression functions.

LeighG@CosmicTraveler @evacide I'm always fascinated by the "boomers turned conservative" assumptions b/c my boomer friends & I were all hippies & most of us never stopped. Everywhere I lived I found my way to the hippies... And I see lots out protesting now ...
effdeekaa@BluegrassRoots @CosmicTraveler @evacide Same here, I'm 63 by now, so age-wise I'm a boomer. All my friends who are at roughly the same age, we all were in the streets protesting against shit since the mid 70s, and never stopped ever since.
