They are prepared for a battle, so they will probably eventually find one, with the size of the crowd today.
Lots of those LA Sherriff's Department trucks with the over-cab storage racks for those coils of wire that can be used as deployable terrain/barriers

Palmadessa has crossed over the 101, so I've lost track of what's happening in L.A.. There is still crowd everywhere, but she's away from the skirmish line it seems. I do hear LAPD's police helicopter, though.
Philly is on the move, chanting "Free, Free Palestine" among others. A drum is present. It's orderly, for civil disorder, but not in any suspicious way. Philly knows how to show up, man.
Philly bike cops are on the move, but Al Rojo Vivo are not being allowed to follow behind the line.

I'm tuned into LordHito. There's lots of tear gas by him in L.A. I missed the start of it, but the crowd is on the run largely.
So I guess LAPD have had it and now the hammer is coming down.
I'm seeing lots more people who are dressed in HK-er type gear. Just saw someone with some fantastic cargo pants, carrying water and presumably other kit, in a helmet, respirator, and goggles.
People are paying attention to what it means to be unruly in the anthropocene, it seems.

There are LAPD inside a building to the side of the crowd. I saw rifles. Looks like they're gonna burst out into the crowd when the call for the move comes.
Strategically, that's good urban warfare. I do wonder why we're waging an urban war on a protest on the side of the aggressors. But LAPD and the goons brought in to assist them do not wonder that. They relish it.
Some beef in the crowd in L.A., someone just ran up on someone filming, yelling about how they were talking good shit in Vegas. Personal drama.
Reports in the crowd that more police are arriving. Guess they're forming a kettle here. I have not heard anything about any order to disperse or anything like that. The cops seem to just have just started rolling up on protesters and doing their thing.
Someone is screaming horribly on Al Rojo Vivo's stream. Maybe someone who was grabbed out of the crowd, maybe that person's loved one. Someone definitely did get grabbed.
They're shooting on LordHito's stream, now. I don't think they're drawing the strings on anything yet but this is definitely setting up crowd control for when they get really aggresive.

Just seen a guy holding a baking pan along with his sign. Not the worst idea to defense against being blinded/killed by 40mm or tear gas canisters, I guess?
Cops at LordHito's position firing occasional 40mm into the crowd at <100 ft distance. Not mass attacking the crowd, just a few shots of opportunity from one cop or another along the line who decide "fuck that person in particular"
A guy in the crowd is saying "I want to go home. They're going to force us to be part of a riot. Does anybody else want to go home?"
I guess the crowd at LordHito's position has been fully kettled at this point, if people are saying they can't get out. It's a really big kettle if it is one.

LordHito seems really confident that because he's "just media" he won't get swept up in this standing near the skirmish line of cops who are actively firing into the crowd. Saying "of course you're going to get shot if you have an umbrella like that…what did you expect" as someone with an umbrella gets fired at.

Correction: I think those bangs are coming from the AP feed, which is near a bunch of that LA Sherriff's Department is staged. There is *tons* of tear gas there.
ABC7 reports that there *was* a dispersal order given, about 45 minutes ago (which would be 4:30 PM Los Angeles time as I write this)
AP has a perspective on the back of the current stating location for the LA County Sherriff's weapons. Note the LRAD in the bottom left, ready to permanently damage the hearing of the crowd.
