re-watching 500 Days of Summer, which is a horror story, not a romantic film

it’s an anxious dating an avoidant:
he projects, she distances
he idealizes her, she keeps him arms length

1st watched this when i was married to (someone i now realize as) fearful avoidant: he absolutely loved this film while I thought it was cringe

I now watch it as a single woman survivor of a dismissive avoidant 😬

Have you seen the film Warm Bodies (comedic zombie romance)? Despite being in horror genre, this is more romantic to me than 500 Days of Summer (LOL)
