I wish someone would make an effort to find out. I'm a lifetime Democrat since 1968 and a former county elected official.
I've never seen the party this weak and unmotivated at the national level. If Bernie Sanders is actually earnest, he would start his own party, not fart around with a party he actually hates.

the problem is, since we're not a parliamentary system nor do we have ranked choice voting, what you're suggesting just divides the left and MAGA wins more

so we are stuck with the need to treat the democratic party as an empty vessel and take it over

third parties are not the way as a matter of what is functionally possible

that requires massive turnout in the primaries and the midterms

the problem is all of these "third party" or "no vote" types don't see how they play into making sure the democrats continue being spineless. because they don't fucking show up. they want to blame blame blame

when the real blame lies on nonvoters and third party voters

we *need* to take over the party

it is the only way

Don't forget that a lot of the voices you hear championing third party and not voting is a purposeful psyop to suppress and divide the left. The same troll farms, maybe even the same trolls, then go into their other cosplay accounts with different fake bonafides and goose MAGA to show up to vote

Not all of these accounts, the toxic idealism on the left is real, but don't be depressed by all of the foolishness out there, a lot of it is fake

Started & remains w Bernie Sanders.
And I know too many who are either burn it all down now, or dont feel obliged to care at all.

2 friends of ours became Berners in 2016. And it just seems that path has taken them down the “both sides are the same”, 3rd party, burn it all down,
etc, very similar with a couples friends very adult children- and actually I know quite a few in that mindset.
They won’t vote & have spite voted down the ballot. Won’t protest… will complain and feel we all owe them
I hope this makes sense.
Pretty tired & shouldn’t be responding on social media.
