"..Donald Trump received 750,000 more votes than Republican Senate candidates in those same districts. That’s not just voter preference. That’s a statistical impossibility."

Report: Voting Machines Were Altered Before the 2024 Election. Did Kamala Harris Actually Win?

In the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, a private lab quietly performed sweeping changes to voting machines used in more than 40% of U.S. counties. No one told the public. No one reviewed the updates. No one verified the results. But the machines were altered —and now, serious questions are being raised about whether those changes may have affected the outcome of the election. Some are even asking whether Kamala Harris was the one who actually won.

@unruly

I wish someone would make an effort to find out. I'm a lifetime Democrat since 1968 and a former county elected official.
I've never seen the party this weak and unmotivated at the national level. If Bernie Sanders is actually earnest, he would start his own party, not fart around with a party he actually hates.

@GoatRoper @unruly

the problem is, since we're not a parliamentary system nor do we have ranked choice voting, what you're suggesting just divides the left and MAGA wins more

so we are stuck with the need to treat the democratic party as an empty vessel and take it over

third parties are not the way as a matter of what is functionally possible

@benroyce @GoatRoper

No argument. There has to be a way though to become more principled.

@unruly @GoatRoper

you don't try to convince some spineless centrist democrat

you replace them

that requires massive turnout in the primaries and the midterms

the problem is all of these "third party" or "no vote" types don't see how they play into making sure the democrats continue being spineless. because they don't fucking show up. they want to blame blame blame

when the real blame lies on nonvoters and third party voters

we *need* to take over the party

it is the only way

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper
Hi. I'm an Independent. I have voted in every election I could - federal. state and local - since the 70's. Don't blame me.

@SueDiOh @unruly @GoatRoper

if you vote i have absolutely nothing against you. i embrace you

it's the nonvoters and the fools who don't understand the american voting system who cling to the fantasy of third party that are killing the left

we can get third party when we get ranked choice voting. *before* that, they're dividing the left and guaranteeing more MAGA wins in our stupid bleeping FPTP system

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper Just because we're Independent doesn't mean we don't vote!!!! How many registered Dems didn't vote in 2016? in 2024?

@SueDiOh @unruly @GoatRoper

exactly the problem

nonvoters are as bad as MAGA in killing this country

that doesn't mean "support spineless centrist democrats" it means show the fuck up in the primaries and midterms to replace them

that is the *only* way

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper Exactly! Vote for the best candidate, not who someone else tells you to. See, that's Independent.

@SueDiOh @unruly @GoatRoper

the problem is the toxic idealism on the left, or the purposeful social media psyop campaign to appeal to this character weakness in many on the left: "the choice is between good and bad but i want perfect, so i'm not voting." which only works to bring us bad. if they had an ounce of thought or honesty they would see how this functionally works to bring to power fascism, and how they are being manipulated to step aside and let it happen, and they would vote

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper There's a problem with our system when people like Lauren Boobert and Matt Gaetz get elected to federal office. I suspect the problem is money. And neither party has done shit about that. Dems had a trifecta too, under Biden.

@SueDiOh @unruly @GoatRoper

sure but again the question: so what is the path forward to better?

take over the democratic party

the complaints about the existing spinelessness are not an argument against what *we* can do with the party, and 3rd party just divides the left and gets more MAGA wins. so we *have* to take it over, it's the only path forward

if we just fucking show up in the midterms and primaries

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper D's will never vote for R's and R's will never EVER vote for D's so we need a third party. A centrist party. But there's a lot more to fix than that. Corporate media has failed us in a BIG way. Campaign seasons are too long. Campaign finance reform is sorely needed. And we need a faster way to remove the ones who fail their oaths that doesn't require waiting until the next election. And not sure pres should get to appoint an entire cabinet, or more than 2 SC judges.

@SueDiOh @unruly @GoatRoper

absolutely 1,000% no

centrists are spineless impotent milquetoast

we need to shove the democrats further left by mobbing the primaries and midterms

and again: a third party just divides the left and MAGA wins in our stupid voting system

respectfully, i can not possibly disagree more with your comment

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper You're free to. And I disagree with yours.
@SueDiOh @unruly @GoatRoper if we all agreed life would be boring. I respect you, and it's not only fine that we disagree I am happy for it, for that is how it should be. Neither of us are forcing the other and neither of us are having a freak out. Respect
@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper That's what it's all about. ☮️
