I wish someone would make an effort to find out. I'm a lifetime Democrat since 1968 and a former county elected official.
I've never seen the party this weak and unmotivated at the national level. If Bernie Sanders is actually earnest, he would start his own party, not fart around with a party he actually hates.

the problem is, since we're not a parliamentary system nor do we have ranked choice voting, what you're suggesting just divides the left and MAGA wins more

so we are stuck with the need to treat the democratic party as an empty vessel and take it over

third parties are not the way as a matter of what is functionally possible

the problem is all of these "third party" or "no vote" types don't see how they play into making sure the democrats continue being spineless. because they don't fucking show up. they want to blame blame blame

the problem is the toxic idealism on the left, or the purposeful social media psyop campaign to appeal to this character weakness in many on the left: "the choice is between good and bad but i want perfect, so i'm not voting." which only works to bring us bad. if they had an ounce of thought or honesty they would see how this functionally works to bring to power fascism, and how they are being manipulated to step aside and let it happen, and they would vote

@benroyce @unruly @GoatRoper D's will never vote for R's and R's will never EVER vote for D's so we need a third party. A centrist party. But there's a lot more to fix than that. Corporate media has failed us in a BIG way. Campaign seasons are too long. Campaign finance reform is sorely needed. And we need a faster way to remove the ones who fail their oaths that doesn't require waiting until the next election. And not sure pres should get to appoint an entire cabinet, or more than 2 SC judges.
