Ya wanna change the world, but you need to do something that is cheap and fast and risk-free.

No problem.

Start here, now, on mastodon.

Write a simple public message to someone here -- not me, please, i'm well-supported -- whose output here improves your life.

Don't star. Don't boost. *Tell* them. Use your words, honey. A single sentence will do the trick.

Takes one minute. Costs nothing. Risks nothing.

Just tell them.

To you, it's miniscule, useless, trivial.

To them, it's *juice*.

@GeePawHill sorry for the star, couldn't resist!

@GeePawHill On that basis, here's to @yogthos, @cemerick, @mark_engelberg, @borkdude who, among others, wrote the tools which made the closing years of my software career a lot more enjoyable.

#Clojure

@GeePawHill @_elena starring is great too. It's like giving a smile!
@god help me break financial barrier stopping me in mission to transform the lives of poor, and war Victims

@GeePawHill

Start here, now, on mastodon.I'm not actually on Mastodon, though. A lot of people here aren't.

@tyil Ummmm, thanks so much for reaching out.
@GeePawHill Your post tells me to use words, so I do! I hope one day you'll learn that the Fediverse is in fact much larger than Mastodon.

@tyil Interesting. So you've assumed my *intent* in using the word "mastodon", you've assumed my *ignorance* in using the word "mastodon", and you've "used your words" not to tell someone whose work you value that you value it, but to tell a stranger on the internet that you know more than they do.

Nice.

Buh-byeeeee!

@GeePawHill I didn't assume anything, I see you actively pretending Mastodon is the entire Fediverse. Which is wrong.

tell a stranger on the internet that you know more than they do.Telling someone who knows less than you that they're wrong, and explaining how they're wrong, is called "teaching". Through teaching, you can learn. Learning is, generally, considered a good thing, as it expands your mind and your ability to be a better person.

I can feel from the tone of this post that you, however, do not wish to learn. Genuinely have to wonder why you're on the Fediverse in the first place.

@GeePawHill You sharing this will make the world a better place. Thank you!
