Urwumpe@georgetakei Even worse. Before Trump was elected, it was simply the long planned 250th birthday celebration of the US Army. And Washington DC simply the main event of many smaller celebrations world-wide.
Now, technically nothing has changed. Except Trump calling it his birthday parade. And not a day for the many men and women, that did the fighting.

@georgetakei I can't believe I had to 'splain to someone what the political significance of Taco Tuesday was. He googled it and took the link to Wikipedia as the end of it. He most assuredly was around during the first Badminstration so I wonder what pile of sand he stuck his head into.
I realize not everyone bothers with stuff that out there in the Zeitgeist. I had to explain to a contemporary what a "Karen" was. And what "ghosting" was. And he didn't know what "Get off my lawn" was from either until I sent him a pic from the movie.
