??? No different than Russia? HAVE YOU READ THE HISTORY OF THE U.S.? THERE ISN’T EVEN A SIDE OF COMPARISON RUSSIA LOOKS LIKE THE LAND OF PEACE COMPARED TO THE U.S.
I suggest you read “Endless Holocausts: Mass Death in the History of the United States Empire”
Buddy I’m already on team “Fuck the Tsar”
A bloody Civil War to end monarchism is no where near what the US gets up to on a regular basis for the sake of making capitalists richer.

If anything, it’s US cops learning from the cossacks, whom tsar always send against people when police was not enough. Running over unarmed people with horses was their favourite tactics.
asking for citations for one of the most important and well known events of the 20th century is lazy and obnoxious.
“Pogrom” was coined in Russia and became well known largely because of the Russian Civil War.
don’t bitch about my comments when you have put absolutely no effort into yours.

Weird I distinctly remember reading about pogromists being one consideration for the bolsheviks in how to participate in the 2nd Duma and that was before the Civil War.
Looks like I misremembered. It was popularized following the assassination of Tsar Alexander II.

There were a LOT of pogroms during the Russian Civil War, like 1,500 just from 1918-1920.
I hope you have half as much hate for fascists as you do for libs.
I don’t have the time nor the crayons to simplify the Russian Civil War so you would understand it. Asking for a citation that you could easily do a basic web search for is at best lazy and at worst sealioning.
Imagine thinking you can explain the Russian civil war to a communist with your wikipedia linking ass. Go read an actual book sometime.
Learning the term Sealioning doesn’t absolve you from sourcing your claims, maybe try learning a single concept correctly instead of having confidence that you got the gist of it from the vibes and a twenty second skim of whatever google spit back at you.
Is your point that the people fighting against Tsarism shouldn’t have done so? That they should’ve continued to suffer without complaint?
Of course the monarchists and reactionaries are going to accuse their opponents of their own crimes, nothing surprising there.
I don’t think that’s being disputed. Both the USA and Russia had incredibly violent labor histories in the late 1800s and 1900s. The main difference is that in Russia, the workers+peasants organized and won, and in the US, they lost.
Either way this both-sidesing of violence makes no sense. You might as well demonize every just cause in history, or every person that defends themselves from an aggressor with that outlook.
I don’t think that’s being disputed.
Tell that to the other people arguing with me. You’re right about the rest though.
Bodycams are making a lot more of these available now too. Saw a brutal one where cops paralyze a handcuffed guy by breaking his neck, then they sit prop him up in a sitting position and complain that hes uncooperative because won’t move.
That was a year ago, the dude is dead and the cops got off scott free.
No, sadly most of the abuse never makes widespread news
(From AXN live stream earlier today)
Watched this live all day at work. So much of this shit went on. The whole thing with CHP trapped under the overpasses was set up to be a massacre, but the protestors didn’t kill them.
No commander in his right mind would trap their troops on low ground like that unless it was a sacrifice.

Or they know the violent threat they're using as justification is total fiction.
