@fidkarten @stabi_berlin Thanks! I learned that the word '#datums' exists in English. (And I wonder why I had to prove my knowledge of Latin to major in English at a university in Germany decades ago.) But now I need help. Datums in German is

None of the provided answers corresponds to the plural of 'Datum' in German. Strictly speaking, the plural form is 'Daten'. However, since this refers to a 'geodetic datum', using 'Daten' would be misleading. Therefore, the plural usage in this context is generally avoided.

Would you agree that escapism is a good strategy for us native speakers of German, when it comes to grammar?
(Btw. I checked wikipedia and learned that without these datums we would not know where we really are. And this, of course, is important. My comments on linguistic aspects should not distract students of geography. They should read the article by Clifford J. Mugnier.)
