They'll make AI workers create products that AI consumes. They have no jobs that pay money, and we have no money to spend on their AI products and services.

Soooo.... they can have fun with that.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are forced to build out own economy and means of exchange.

I think I'll use tech and automation to do the hard and boring stuff. Make it to where I have more free time to spend on art.

Much better than automating art and leaving drudgery to a couple random folks to do manually.

The goal isn't a thriving economy in which they are on top of a rapidly expanding pyramid of wealth. The goal is a servant class that they can abuse with every whim. Think english landed gentry a few centuries ago, not the rapid improvements of the 1900s.

@tinker I think it's sort of a self-worsening problem. If excessively wealthy people had compassion or any social self-awareness they would not continue to amass wealth. They just keep "line-go-up now means line go up more later"

Do you know what? I think in their hubris they either really don't know or do they care. It'll be just another problem to solve, but it's purely one of their own making.

The oft-used term, "move fast and break things" is a really frightening one when AI and Tech companies are saying it.

How do they do at human grade perception? I hear pretty poor, probably wolnt get better for years? It can’t catch me yet 😆.
