Thx so much! I'm really overdue getting one. In your opinion, can these work for security cams? I know that's a whole other set of privacy etc issues (maybe not for most people, sigh).

@mtechman They would work, though for security they might not be the best option. If someone was caught doing something they shouldn’t and they saw the cam all they would need to do would be open it and remove the memory card. Or take the camera and you’d have no recording of it. There are cams with wifi/cell that could send recordings back to you as they happen but I don’t know much about those.
Of course, just having a cam out, regardless of how it works could have an effect!
