@jeffjarvis in 1980s Wisconsin, I campaigned for the Nuclear Freeze mvt. and met a couple who had had themselves sterilized in the 60s because they felt like nuclear war was imminent and they didn’t want to bring a baby into a doomed world. Some people actually do consider the future world their child will live in when deciding whether or not to conceive. Right now, the future has never looked bleaker. Oligarchy created this problem by making income disparity so vast.

@jeffjarvis guess who else was/is pushing for more babies? Yup , Erdogan. Since his first election to office he had "at least 3 babies" policy. Their world view and policies are only possible in an ever growing world. And they love telling other people how to live.
