Yeah, that's not the real news here. It's not like there weren't TERF orgs already extant that she could just fund – she even is quoted saying as much in the article: "Lots of people are offering to contribute, which I truly appreciate, but there are many other women’s rights orgs that could do with the money, so donate away, just not to me!"
The real news here is that she needs her very own pet org – orgs run by other people just won't do – for some reason.
The very obvious two (non-exclusive!) possibilities are that she is such an insufferable tyrant nobody will work with her, not even her fellow TERFs, or that she needs an org lacking independent oversight, i.e. grown-up supervision, to use for some illegal purpose.
Edit: Or maybe there's some completely legal way super rich people in the UK can use an org as a tax shelter?

@siderea o don’t know about the UK, but non-profits in the US have been definitely been abused as tax shelters. Trump had a charity that was sued for misusing funds, it’s part of the GOP playbook.
No, that would be one of those *illegal* purposes I mentioned. A tax shelter is something that is *legal*.

I can’t reply to your last comment? The concept of a tax shelter is legal, how it is used is not necessarily legal, there are a lot of regulations to prevent fraud. Many things that are legal can be abused to make it illegal. Voting is legal, but not if you vote twice in the same election.

The only way to reduce the harm shitheads like her can do (aside from legal action or a Luigi) is to make them completely culturally irrelevant. Ignored. Boring. Lame. Whatever.
And if you MUST see the latest stuff, pirate it, watch it in your own home, and don't tell anyone about it. Don't participate in conversations about it online. Don't critique it online. Nothing that gives it "buzz".

And in the replies? There's always at least one trans person saying "it's fine! Go play it!" And that one person has now given 100 people "permission from a trans person" to play the game.
Dump the IP. Don't pirate it. Don't borrow it. Don't talk to your friends about it. Shun people who interact with it.
