Sen. Rafael Edward Cruz, who uses the preferred name Ted, has introduced a bill to limit the use of preferred names and pronouns.

A picture of Ted Cruz gesturing smarmily while holding a mic, with a watermark of expressnews.com.

Ted Cruz is a light-skinned man with gray hair and an unflattering beard. In the photo he is caught mid-word.

@MostlyHarmless

I am sure "Ted" is exempted.

@mad @MostlyHarmless

I promise to call him Ralph Tedward Cross if I ever run in to him, so to speak. Maybe Rafaela Cruz if I’m not feeling so petty. Of course, I should really leave it alone, but in the rare case it happens I’ll have a decision to make.

@MostlyHarmless I'm afraid you don't get the MAGA-Spirit. Corruption, law&order, bribing, rules... only apply for others not for MAGA's. MAGA's, the new elite, are exempt of course.

@MostlyHarmless "One rule for me, and another for thee!".

The sheer hypocrisy on display here is immense.

@MostlyHarmless I never ever thought there would be politicians (aka Nazis & fascists) that would try to ban nick names. What the actual fuck is wrong with these people
@MostlyHarmless I'm sure Rafaël will continue to be called Ted by anyone, instead of getting sued for fraud and forgery. "He's one of them good immigrants."

(I'm an immigrant. Raf's hypocrisy disgusts.)

@MostlyHarmless

Somehow we managed to populate both legislative chambers, Congress and the Senate, with fools. Last time it happened Nero reigned in Rome and Caligula was waiting in the wings. I have nothing else to say or comment. Goodbye Ted.

@MostlyHarmless Every time James Donald Bowman goes by "JD Vance," a name he made up, he insults the intelligence of the American people. He must be stopped. I'm sure this bill will end that behavior, right?

RIGHT?!?
