"What’s at stake here is the ability of any future government to respond to the very real crises we face - climate change, inequality, biodiversity loss - without being tied down by legal threats, corporate claims and Seymour’s rigid neo-liberal ideology."

The Press

We can't let the Atlas Network set NZ policy. It only takes ten minutes to make a submission on the Regulatory Standards Bill and there are only two boxes to fill in.

1. Under 'comments' make sure you state clearly that "I oppose the Regulatory Standards bill." You might mention the extraordinary amount of power the bill would give to one Minister (who has serious connections to the Atlas Network). And your thoughts on taxpayers being expected to compensate extractive corporates for loss of profits, when those companies are operating sunset industries and destroying our environment.

2. Under 'recommendations' again reinforce that the Bill and its proposed updates should be rejected. You might also want to add a line opposing a money-wasting referendum.

That's it. Go for it! Submissions close 1.00pm, Monday, 23 June 2025.
