what is even happening when linux does that "im not even gonna look at this device until next boot" thing like does it have a non persistent bitch cache where it randomly decides it hates a device. like how does this happen
plugging in my thunderbolt monitors to my laptop for the 1st time in months and it's not recognizing the left one but it also does this w flash drives and im so certain it'll be Just Fine if i reboot
WHAT DO U MEAN KDE CAN CONTROL THE BRIGHTNESS OF MY MONITORS BY WIRE ??
i have had both these monitors for years and both windows and macos have not once implemented this capability
@kirakira i got jumpscared when kde randomly just got the ability to adjust my externals monitor brightness connected straight through hdmi which has Never Ever worked before
@sneexy yeah these are both displayport via thunderbolt and im like. i thought external brightness control was something only apple monitors did because they threw in some apple spice to talk to their own devices and all the other monitors of the world were just living in dumbsville. like what do you MEAN there was available software control for all this time, i've been using these at uncozy brightness at night for years because dick???
