The GOP's “Big, beautiful bill” will “carry out the largest upward transfer of wealth in American history... Congressional Republicans are willing to endanger their hold on power to enact policy changes they believe in. And what they believe—what has been the party’s core moral foundation for decades—is that the government takes too much from the rich, and gives too much to the poor.”

The Largest Upward Transfer of Wealth in American History

@augieray As long as they're in on the take, they're happy to pull up the ladder and watch everyone eat each other. #merica
@augieray Less Trickle Down, than Gush Up!?
@augieray so everyone still thinks that ‘elections’ in a #dictatorship is a thing
@augieray Unbridled, unapologetic GREED is Republican policy.
@augieray Please gimme 4-8 yrs of full GOP control over every branch. That is the only way to get rid of the GOP forever.

@augieray

Because the poor in the USA are living so wildly extravagantly? Or because the rich in the USA are so god-awful selfish?

@augieray We need wealth from society to be redistributed but from the top percent to those who need help. We need a floor which we don't allow people to slip below (poverty) and a ceiling (billionaires) who can go above because the power accumulation warps society
@augieray But, remember, when the Dims fail to stop the Repiglicans in such endeavors _they_ still benefit - 'cause they're wealthy. There's nothing really new about the Dims and the Repiglicans jointly looting the middle-class; what's new is the Repiglicans going for broke - going for it all.
