Cultural appropriation is not just a microaggression; it has *real financial harm* for our communities when we have to compete with artists who claim to be Native but aren't.
Falsely advertising your products as made by a Native artist when they aren't is also illegal under The Indian Arts and Crafts Act (IACA) of 1990 (P.L. 101-644).
If you want to support our communities and art make sure not to buy anything "Native-inspired" from Etsy or any other site.

What is the point of telling our stories of struggle and watching our loved ones die and suffer and stress about medical debt and insurance bureaucracy, if the people we are talking to can't hear or understand words?
While making tens of billions in profit, UnitedHealth fired its intake team & enacted faulty AI tech to process claims. It rejected more than 90% of claims for senior citizens, resulting in several deaths b/c elders didn't get the critical meds they needed.

To anyone who is feeling uncomfortable with and dreading the thought of having to go to #Thanksgiving this year because you would have to be around people who voted to dehumanize/harm/deport/kill you, your kids, your friends, etc. I need you to please read what I am about to type over and over until it sinks in:
It's okay not to go to Thanksgiving dinner. Its okay to cut them out of your life. Its not about politics. Its about morality.

GOP dominated Texas school board approves curriculum that incorporates Bible lessons for K-5 classes.
In Texas you can freeze to death in a winter storm, die due to denied abortion care, be shot to death due to no gun safety laws, banned from voting due to arbitrary purges, and be arrested for submitting a provisional ballot if you're Black—but by God you WILL learn the Bible in elementary school.
This is Christian nationalism and it is an existential threat to our republic.
