Horse girl running shoes is Uma Musume are interesting, they look like a mix between running shoes and heals (reference to high heals being horse riding shoes), and the "cleats" on them are horseshoe shaped.

🏴 🏳️⚧️@Aknorals oh dear, am I already "people mix up times that I lived through" years old now? Is a world without スマホ(sumaho) inconceivable or is the anachronism an artistic touch to seem otherworldly?
@pinkboi I feel like they want to write a modernish sounding manga/anime (2010~today), which requires smartphones, but the actual horse did his races in the late 80s and early 90s.
