The truth is weirder. It appears the DoD had been in talks to buy the plane straight up to become Air Force One. Then Trump blurts out that itās a gift. The government of Qatar didnāt want to contradict him with negotiations still ongoing. It appears it will still be purchased outright.
Thereās still plenty of security concerns with that plane.
