To conclude the miniseries about the School of Design Basel brutalist/modernist architectural ensemble, here the main school building with its characteristics lines of windows - perfect for #windowwednesday

I could not decide between black and white or color, bnw just brings out the lines so nicely, but the greyness of the building is lost.

I like both! But I agree that the black and white really brings out the lines! ✨
yes! :) but to be honest, I often feel BnW can be a trick to make an average shot interesting... so I am often hesitant to use it. But in this case, it is much easier to apply contrast and work out the lines, I think the color version is a bit too much, so yes, the bnw is the better one in the end :)
I get what you mean! Both of them are lovely anyway!! ✨
Also prefer the B&W. Great shot; it does the Fuji X10 justice. Great little gem. Bought the first one new, got stolen, bought another one 2nd hand. It was lying around a bit when I used other cameras until my son starting using it. When I saw the pictures he took with it, I had to get my hands back on it more often. Are you using the full 12 MP or the DR400 mode with only 6 MP? I tend to believe that the later returns better results in most situations. But keen to hear your take on it?
I love the x10, I use it often on the street, the manual zoom is such a unique feature. AF is rather slow, but with zone focus its great. I use it with DR200 @6mp
Ah great, then I have it setup the good way too. Yes, zone focus works quite nicely. The only drawback for me really is the OVF. It's so not calibrated to what the camera actually shoots. At least it shoots wider then the OVF so you can always post-crop things. But how nice would that camera be if you could properly compose in the viewfinder.
