If a Muslim country had killed 54,000 Jews or Christian’s in a neighboring country and attempted to kill more with famine, I promise you, EU politicians would not just express disappointment.

They would act.

@randahl WITHOUT HESITATION.

@kristen_d @randahl oh really? Im sure you never even heard of #NagornoKarabakh Christian for centuries, cleansed by a Muslim army and no one cares. #azerbaijan even participates in #Eurovision without any polemic or threats of a boycott

@bossito @kristen_d @randahl It’s news to me that German scientists could lose their funding if their criticised Azerbaijan. Or maybe you are comparing relationships that aren’t comparable.
@ahltorp @kristen_d @randahl it would be news to me it any German scientist has critized Azerbaijan. And Azerbaijan does have long arms of pressure. The only country that critized Azerbaijan was France and since then Azerbaijan is sponsoring independentist movements and riots in France.. like we saw in New Caledonia. Azerbaijan is also a member of Eurovision and no one bats an eye.

@ahltorp @kristen_d @randahl Azeri gas, as alternative to Russian gas, it's one of the ways Azerbaijan assures general silence in Germany over its genocide.

There are multiple genocides happening around the world right now, only one or two get news coverage. Follow the money...

@bossito @kristen_d @randahl You're right. Azerbaijan is a major EU and Israeli ally and commercial partner. It's never an issue when their own side does it.
@GM7077 @kristen_d @randahl being that the side is established on commercial grounds, not religious. For centuries that European countries don't have religious criteria on their foreign policy. Several times they sided with non Christian countries against christian ones.. it's very different from the Muslim countries, where indeed there is a tendency to side together against non Muslims.
