If you ever work with leather dyes, it would be great to remember BEFORE you start that you, too, are made of leather.

@jack_daniel This came out in a discussion recently with a costumer friend.

Another friend chimed in that they learned something similar when seasoning meat and then realizing their hands were well-seasoned because we are also made of meat.

@jack_daniel that’s a lasting mistake
@jack_daniel I hadn’t ever thought of this in this way, despite having many many days of coloured hands to reflect on it.

FIRST GRAVEDIGGER

Faith, if he be not rotten before he die—as we have many pocky corses nowadays that will scarce hold the laying in— he will last you some eight year or nine year. A tanner will last you nine year.

~Hamlet
Act 5 Scene 1

@jack_daniel Indigo…nna take some scrubbin’ to get that out!
@jack_daniel
On the outside, anyway.
@mysturji yeah, let's not talk about the icky stuff inside.
@jack_daniel boot/shoe polish makes an excellent fingertip polish if you happen to be out.
nice leather moisturiser can also thoroughly disrupt your fingerprints for around an hour.

@jack_daniel

Baking soda and Dawn, lots of scrubbing.
