Excellent post. And yes, I thought some of it seemed familiar as coming from your new book. The history is fascinating. The Tenth Amendment, though very short, is crucial and has garnered much controversy over the years.

State's rights, though initially a rallying cry to continue the cruel practice of slavery, has additional far-reaching effects that we need to remember and watch for.

@Teri_Kanefield thank you for this post and providing a more nuanced and historical context for what we are seeing played out in US politics. The more I learn about “the founding fathers” the more it feels amazing that the US was even established and sustained for 200+ years.
