@jeffjarvis the dumming down is a tried & tested method of #autocratic regimes to rapidly phase out any worthwile opposition & dissent. My prediction, the effect of this dumming down will shows itself in clear daylight during the #midterms2026 when despite the majority’s hope odpf change there will not be a #bluewave as the #trumpadministration will have gutted all the smart (& thinking) election officials

@LordOfQuails @jeffjarvis there will be midterms, and the #gop will make all efforts to conjure up a win. The #democraticparty will think they’re competing in an actual election, but will end up with a loss (and face further extinction in the #2028presidentialelection )
