@streetartutopia Those plants will develop roots and those roots with time will tear up the pavement. And if there are underground pipes then those will also be impacted.

@welkin7 @streetartutopia yes, the sidewalk was constructed faulty. It should have had a proper flower bed to avoid any damage and be less of an eyesore
@welkin7 @streetartutopia These are flowers, not trees. Annual flowers don't root so deep that they will crack the concrete. They simply die when they get out of space. Be more concerned about the weathering. Guess why there is a crack where plants could grow ;)
