I practised this song (How I Got Over, my own arrangement, based on a combination of versions by Mahalia Jackson and Aretha Franklin, with some added flourishes from me) so. many. times. before performing it on @thepianouk last year. Still, whenever I performed it there would be many mistakes, not least during the actual recording. But on this occasion, in the privacy of my own bedroom, it was relatively error free and I enjoyed getting into it.
